6:00pm – Frozen Dead Guy Days Opening Ceremony Nederland’s Round About      

  • Open Frozen Dead Guy Days with at the Nederland round about with the lighting of the center piece followed by a Steampunk Procession with the “Joe” the Mayor of Ned to the Blue Ball

10:00pm - Live Music at Local Bars & Restaurants such as:

Saturday – March 14th

Teen Center – 151 East 1st St, Nederland, CO 80466 (East end of First Street)

  • Register for the Polar Plunge & Coffin Races & Parade Contest
  • Waiver pick up for ALL FDGD events (waiver on site for smaller events)
  • Line up for the Parade

All event participants must sign a waiver and get waiver wristband. If you are planning on doing any events, this is a great place to get your waiver a head of time.

FDGD Pancake Breakfast
At the Community Center  (0.5 mi North on HWY 72, or take the path up Jefferson Street)

  • Pancakes and more! Eggs and sausage, coffee and juice and all you can eat pancakes. Warm your belly for your day outdoors!

  • Open house with the Turkey Vultures from the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program (presentation at 3:30pm) and Spiders, Scorpions and Cockroaches.

  • Nederland’s First Street will be transformed into a pedestrian mall so revelers can enjoy music in the Brain Freezer tent, street performers and participate in brain freezing, frozen t-shirt contests, icy turkey bowling and more!

11:00am – 4:00pm – at the Black Forest restaurant, viewing of  Grandpa’s in the Tuff Shed documentary , book signing with the “Iceman” Bo Shaffer & poetry from  beyond with Louise Moriarty

  • Watch the award-winning Grandpa’s in the Tuff Shed short film at the Black Forest Restaurant, shows approx. every 30 minutes.
  • learn a little Dead Guy Days history from the “Iceman” who kept Grandpa cold for 17 yrs.
  • Channel a loved one that has past through a poem or get an intuitive personal one with Louise.

Famous Coffin Races in Chipeta Park

  • Teams race with a coffin and ‘corpse’ in tow through a course full of obstacles, mud, snow, other racers.
